IMDB rating: 6.80 Plot: Joan Wilder is a mousey writer of romance novels. She finds a package from her sister mailed from Colombia in her mailbox. A call from her sister tells her that she has been kidnapped and that bringing the package to Colombia is necessary for her safety and release. Being fairly clueless, she leaves for Colombia to rescue her sister. She is lost within hours of her arrival. She is nearly murdered by one of the men searching for the package when Jack Colton, a fairly low life American rescues her. They begin a journey through the jungle with bullets flying nearby. How does one get into the animation field?
I want to be able to create my own cartoons eventually. I love the unique worlds such as Cowboy Bebop, or Aeon Flux… and I want to know how to get a job like that.
I graduated from art college several years ago. AAC in the bayarea. If you don’t know anyone who’s in animation field, you can try to present your idea and art work to the teachers in art school. Most of teachers in my school are not professional educator but professional artist. Such as most teachers who is teaching animation may from the big film company. Some of them fly from LA to give us class everyweek.
I thought you may start from their if you go some good stuff. But if you really got some great stuff, be careful with who you deal with. We had sign the contract that all our works belong to school when we were. I have known there some teachers keep student’s idea become their own…

Have you ever noticed how much Black Comedy is in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory?
I’m talking about the classic film with GENE WILDER, not the newer one.
That whole scene where Willy Wonka seems to push Augustus Gloop into the Chocolate River (comedically timed so that it is hard to tell whether Gloop just falls in himself or whether Wonka pushes him in). Willy Wonka them seems to enjoy the suspense of watching him die. Watch just this one scene - and you will see what I am talking about Black Comedy here. Classic.
The whole factory seems to be a series of death traps that Wonka is luring society that he hates so much into; to die. Of course, not for real - because Wonka is ONLY the dreamer of dreams. But this is an amazing satire on society - teachers, kids, greedy businemen, and all of us actually if you think about it.

I would say it’s not just the movie, but that most things written by Roald Dahl have black comedy in, and that one is definitely a satire of society as well, particularly with the different types of kids and their parents. It was Dahl’s style to write about people-hating.
My favourite of his stories would be either George’s Marvellous Medicine (full of revenge on spiteful grandma comedy) or The Landlady (about a landlady taxidermist who kills and stuffs ANYthing).

I need some advice on what to do.?
Hi, I’ve been dating my girlfriend for just about seven months now. We’ve been off and on throughout those months. We break up and then get back together. Well, she breaks up with me and then we get back together. But when we first get together it’s really really good. You know, cuddling, holding hands, play fighting and all that good stuff. But after a week or two she starts to withdraw and "disappear." We’ll be in the same room but it’s like she’s not there ya know? She has 3 amazing kids and I love them and her. Well right now we’re in that stage where she’s starting to withdraw. Yesterday we went to the store and she left her phone in the car. She only needed a few things so she went in by herself really quick. Well her phone is a slider and it was open on the passenger seat. Her battery sucks so I went to shut it and saw a message from another guy on there. It was in IM form so I could also read her replies. They have been flirting with eachother and were planning a date together. So, out of curiosity I went through a few more messages and found out that she’s been flirting with yet another guy. I didn’t tell her I knew what was going on, I just acted normal. I watched how she acted throughout the day. I noticed that when she starts texting on her phone she starts to ignore me and withdraw. So I’m unsure what to do. Do I confront her and tell her I was pretty much spying? Or do I just up and leave?

IMDB rating: 5.50 Plot: The small island resort town of Amity is trying to bounce back from the financial problems it had after becoming known as the site of shark attacks four years ago. Mayor Larry Vaughn is welcoming developer Len Peterson and his new resort to Amity. Two scuba divers are exploring the area where the Orca sank after police chief Martin Brody killed a huge shark four years ago. A shark shows up and kills the two divers, but not before one of the divers takes a close-up picture of the shark’s eye, and sometime later, while a mother is driving a boat that’s pulling her water-skiing teenage daughter, the shark kills the daughter and causes the mother to accidentally blow up the boat, then a killer whale is found on the shore with a huge bite on it. After Brody sees this, he knows there’s another huge great white shark in Amity’s waters, but Vaughn and Peterson explain these attacks away as non-shark accidents, because the thought of another shark in Amity’s waters would drive tourists away from the new resort and cause the new resort to lose money. It looks like Vaughn is still a mayor who puts money ahead of people’s lives. Brody tips his gun’s hollow point bullets with cyanide and melted candle wax and tells his sons Michael and Sean to stay away from the beaches and tells them to not go sailing with Mike’s friends, who include Vaughn’s son Larry Vaughn Jr. Everyone thinks Brody’s fears are shark trauma-induced paranoia. Brody even tries to call his friend Matt Hooper, who is doing research on a boat in the Antarctic Circle, and Matt will be in the Antarctic Circle for a few more months. While keeping an eye on the waters from the beach’s shark tower, Brody sees a huge dark spot in the water and rings the tower’s alarm bell, but it turns out to be a school of bluefish. Vaughn fires Brody for causing this panic at the beach and scaring tourists and their money away, and even though they were told not to, Michael and Sean go out sailing with Junior Vaughn and their friends, unaware that the shark is trailing them. Brody knows it’s up to him to find them before the shark kills too many of them. |

can my work not hire me back after i took a personal leave and could i sue them for loss of wages?
i had got into a car accident and was having back problems, so i took time off to heal. while i was on my leave i had a seizure. i couldnt open or close my mouth for 2 months, because i had gotten locked jaw from seizuring. they said that i need a dr realease to come back. so i brought them the realese and now they are saying that they dont have any hours for me,and that they had to hire 2 ppl when i left. but now they are actually short ppl because they had to fire some, and still havent called me to come back, i keep calling them and they keep saying that they will call me back with hours. its been 2 months now since i brought in that drs realese to them. ive been there 7 years now and dont want to loose my job
If you are in the US and you signed up for FMLA then they can’t penalize you for being gone (for a determined amount of time) due to illness. Otherwise, your employment is at will - yours and theirs. Take the hint and go get another job.

Like what kind of settled form would the deamons be and their names. I’m asking this because i just want the whole worlds opinion not just mine. After disappearing to the East where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra’s Al-Ghul, he returns to his now decaying Gotham City overrun by organized crime and dangerous individuals manipulating the system whilst the company he inherited is slowly being pulled out from under him. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, and a prototype armored suit leads him to take on a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong - he becomes, Batman. In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan ‘The Scarecrow’ Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right. |
